Upload a quote to request a purchase using the Now Assist AI agent
Use Now Assist's AI-powered chat interface for requesting a purchase by describing your needs, uploading a quote, and submitting the request from the Employee Center. Now Assist analyzes the uploaded quote and automatically creates a purchase requisition.
Before you begin
Role required: sn_spend_gen_ai.now_assist_requester
Procedure
Navigate to All > Self-Service > Employee Center in your ServiceNow instance.
Select the Now Assist chat icon (
Now Assist icon.\) in the Employee Center interface.
- Enter details about the product that you want to purchase in the chat interface.
Procurement product recommendation AI agent starts.
Now Assist analyzes your request and presents product recommendations through the Procurement request path recommendation.
- Select Yes to proceed with uploading a quote.
Upload a quote.
- Select Click here to upload a file to choose your quote from your device.
Select a file to upload a vendor quote.
**Note:** Ensure that the file is in PDF, PNG, or JPEG format and doesn’t exceed 1 MB.
Upload your quote.
Enter additional details, such as the reason for purchase, expected delivery date, and service period.
Provide additional details to create a purchase request.
Verify the quote file name.
Now Assist analyzes the quote and extracts the details for review.
Select the link to open the extracted quote it in a new tab.
Open the extracted quote in a new tab.
Verify that all information was extracted correctly and select Submit.
Return to the Employee Center.
Select Yes to confirm you have submitted the extracted quote.
New purchase requisition is created.
Your purchase requisition has been created and submitted for approval.
