Installing the MID Server

Download and install the MID Server on the host machine, test the connection, and then validate the MID Server. Set up multiple MID Servers for load balancing and domain separation. These procedures prepare it for use with any application.

Verify the MID Server system requirements and MID Server connection prerequisites are met before you install the MID Server.

MID Server installation options

  • Install MID Server with the command line installer
    Using the ITOM Infra Services Workspace, MID Servers can be deployed with the command line installer. The command line installer automates many of the processes, especially for first time installations.
  • Installing MID Server on Windows
    Using the ITOM Infra Services Workspace, MID Servers can be deployed to Windows with a variety of authentication and installation methods. For authentication, choose between private key JWT, basic authentication, or mutual authentication.
  • Installing MID Server on Linux
    Using the ITOM Infra Services Workspace, MID Servers can be deployed to Linux with a variety of authentication and installation methods. For authentication, choose between private key JWT, basic authentication, or mutual authentication.
  • Installing the MID Server with manual or guided setup
    Download and install the MID Server on the host machine, test the connection, and then validate the MID Server. Use the manual procedures or the guided setup. Set up multiple MID Servers for load balancing and domain separation. These procedures prepare it for use with any application.
