Enter metadata
Fill in the metadata for your service graph connector.
Before you begin
Role required: sn_sec_spc_core.developer
Procedure
Navigate to Workspaces > Security Posture Control > Connector builder.
The Custom API connectors are displayed.
Select an existing connector record from the Connector name column to edit it.
To create a record, select New connector.
A tab opens in your browser and the required fields for the Enter metadata step are displayed.
Fill in the fields.

| Connector name | A unique name. You might prefer to add `'CXF'` in the title to help you easily distinguish the API connectors that you create from the API connectors from other services \(vendors\). |
| Vendor | Connector's vendor name from the list. The templates in the connector builder provide you with options that are based on popular API integrations from security tool vendors. You can choose a vendor to base your connector on. Alternatively, select the Image omitted: icon-zoom-in.png Plus sign to add a vendor name and URL.Select the refresh icon \(\[Omitted image "sync-outline-24.svg"\] Alt text: Rotating arrows that refresh the page\) to see your vendor on the list. |
| Connector category | Select one for your connector type. |
| Description | A unique description for this API connector to help you easy identify its data imports from your other connectors. |
Select Save and continue to save your edits.
You must save your changes before you can continue.
