Add customizable products using ServiceNow CPQ Configurator

Use the Configurator to add configurable products to a Sales Customer Relationship Management transaction, for example an opportunity or quote.

Before you begin

Role required: sales agent, order agent, customer

Procedure

  1. Create a transaction, such as an opportunity or a quote, in the CSM Configurable Workspace.

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > CSM/FSM Configurable Workspace, and select the List icon

2.  Navigate to the module for the transaction, for example **Quotes** > **All**, and select **New** to create the transaction.

3.  When the transaction is created, select **Add line items** to create a line item.

    The tabs \(related lists\) open for the transaction.
  1. Select the Catalog tab to open the product catalog interface, then select the appropriate catalog.

  2. In the card for the product offering to be configured, select Customize.

    The ServiceNow CPQ Configurator opens.

  3. Select a product in the bundle and in the Options selection section, choose the product option.

    • As you select options and enter quantity items, review the shopping cart to see the associated pricing for your selections.
    • Review the completion icons.

: Indicates that a required option or entry must be completed. Select the icon to see which item must be completed. To find the required entry, review the options for all the products in the bundle. The required entry is identified by the Alert icon \[Omitted image "icon-alert-triangle.png"\] Alt text: and message.

: Indicates that all required options and entries for the configurable offering have been completed.
  1. When you complete your selections, select Save and Close.

    The configurable product is added as a line item to the transaction.
