Duplicate a visualization on an inline dashboard

Duplicate a visualization so that you can use aspects of the source in a copy of the visualization while on the dashboard it sits on.

Before you begin

Role required: viz_creator

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Platform Analytics > Library > Dashboards

  2. Select the dashboard with the visualization that you want to duplicate.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. From the Actions menu (

\) on the visualization, select **Duplicate**.
A copy of the visualization is added to dashboard.
  1. Select the copy of the visualization to open its Configuration panel.

  2. Give the copy of the visualization a unique chart title to distinguish it from the original on the dashboard.

  3. Select Save to save the changes to the dashboard.

  4. From the Actions menu (

\) on the visualization, select **Add to Library** to make the copy available to other users.
When you add the visualization to the library, you must give it a name and, optionally, a description. Other users see the name and description in the list of visualizations in the library.

Result

The visualization is copied with the new information.

Important: The new copy of the visualization is automatically saved.
