Manage releases for digital products and services

Track the progress of your releases, and work on them to release products and services faster and more efficiently.

Role required: sn_dpr_model.release_coordinator, sn_dpr_model.product_manager, or sn_dpr_model.release_admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Workspaces > Digital Product Release Workspace.

  2. Select the releases icon (

  1. Select a release from the list to open.

  2. If the release isn't in progress, select Start release.

  3. Managing timeline-oriented releases
    Managing a timeline-oriented release involves following a series of deadlines and milestones and adjusting as necessary to keep your release on track.

  4. Managing stage-oriented releases
    Managing a stage-oriented release involves completing objectives and closing the release when the work is done and meets the defined release criteria, rather than waiting for the planned end date.
  5. Managing multiple releases through release bundles
    Release bundles help you to group multiple releases to track and manage them concurrently from a single place.
  6. Review and update release details
    Review and modify the details of a release. You can also retarget the readiness date of the release as required.
  7. Add a product to a multi-product release
    Add a product to a multi-product release to expand the scope of the release as requirements evolve. The added product gets its own child release with phases, tasks, and policies aligned to the main release.
