Monitor or cancel remedial actions in DEX device page Playbook

Use the Playbook Experience in a device page to view current and past remedial actions executed from different sources, and monitor or cancel actions initiated from the device page Action library.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_dex.engineer, sn_dex.admin

About this task

Remedial actions executed from the following sources are displayed in the playbook panel of the device page.

  • Action library within a DEX device page
  • Action library within an incident record associated with a DEX monitored device
  • DEX Self-service for employees
  • Proactive Engagement

Each action card in the playbook panel displays information such as the action name, source, status, start time, and name of user who initiated the action.

Note: You can only monitor current and past remedial actions and cancel ongoing actions run from the Action library on a device page.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.

  2. Select the Devices icon

  1. On the Devices page, select the device to open the device page and view its details.

  2. Select the Playbook icon

from the contextual side panel.
  1. Monitor actions with the status of New or In Progress by selecting View Playbook on the action card.

  2. Cancel an ongoing action by selecting Cancel on the action card.

  3. View history of past remedial actions with the status of Completed, Canceled, or Failed.

    1. Select the History tab.

    2. To track stages of past actions initiated from the device page Action library, select View Playbook on an action card.
