Create custom enterprise product models

If you have a product model that is not represented in the Enterprise Asset Management Content Service yet, you can create a custom product model.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_eam.enterprise_admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Enterprise Asset Workspace > Normalization.

  2. Select the Custom enterprise product models tab.

  3. Select New.

  4. Fill in the form details.

    FieldDescription
    Model NameName of the enterprise product model.
    ManufacturerName of the manufacturer of the enterprise product model.
    Model typeThe model type.
    DescriptionA detailed description of the product model.
    ActiveIndicates that the model is active.
    Exclude from content serviceOption that excludes the product model details from being transferred to the Enterprise Asset Management Content Service even though you opted-in.

  5. Select Save.

    After the product model is created, normalize the product model.
