Audit results
The Audit results shows the status of the assets when the scheduled or blind audits of asset stockrooms and other locations is complete.
The audit results are generated by comparing the assets scanned at the physical location or stockroom and the asset records present in the ServiceNow instance.
| Description | Description |
|---|---|
| Expected | Number of expected assets that were scanned. |
| Not expected and location corrected | Number of assets that were scanned but weren’t expected. |
| Missing | Number of expected assets that weren’t scanned. |
| New | Number of assets that were scanned but don’t have a record in your ServiceNow instance.Note: If the audit record's Scan method is set to Multi scan, a new asset record is created using the provided Asset tag. The new asset record is created with unknown product model and unknown model category value. Additionally, an asset remediation task is also created to notify you that an asset record is created with unknown model category and unknown product model. Open the asset remediation task from the Hardware Asset Workspace and update the Model category and Model fields value for the asset. For more information, see Close an enterprise asset remediation task. |
| Excluded from licensing | Number of scanned assets that are excluded from licensing. When you scanned a hardware asset that is considered as an excluded from licensing asset, if your ServiceNow® instance doesn't have an Hardware Asset Management license. |
| Found but not in audit scope | The number of scanned assets that are not within the scope of the current audit record. For example, if the audit is created to scan assets located in Aisle and Space 001 of the stockroom, but an asset belonging to Aisle and Space 002 in the stockroom is scanned, that asset cannot be categorized as an unexpected asset for the stockroom. Since the asset is still an expected asset for the stockroom, it is categorized as found but not in audit scope asset. |
