Use the IsPathRooted component
Find out if the path you specify has a root folder by using the IsPathRooted component in RPA Desktop Design Studio.

About this task
You can configure the properties for the IsPathRooted component. For more information about these properties, see Properties of the File components.
Procedure
In the Toolbox pane, navigate to Utilities > File.
Drag the IsPathRooted component to the Design surface.
To configure the input field, see Configure port properties.
Connect the data and control ports of the IsPathRooted component to the corresponding ports of the other component as described in the following table.

| Data Out \(Return\) | Returns the Boolean value indicating whether the path has a root folder and passes the value to the next component. | Yes.To preview the data, right-click the Return field and click Preview Data. |

| Control Out | Connects to the Control In port of another component or the default end component. | No. Connecting the port is optional. |
- To test the component, under the DESIGN tab, click Run.
