Use the WriteText component

Append or overwrite existing text to an existing file or create a file and write text to it with the WriteText component in the RPA Desktop Design Studio.

About this task

You can configure the properties for the WriteText component. For more information about these properties, see Properties of the File components.

Procedure

  1. In the Toolbox pane, navigate to Utilities > File.

  2. Drag the WriteText component to the Design surface.

  3. To configure the input fields, see Configure port properties.

  4. Connect the data and control ports of the WriteText component to the corresponding ports of the other components as described in the following table.

  5. To test the component, under the DESIGN tab, click Run.
