| Data Catalog | The self-service discovery layer where consumers browse and evaluate Data Products, Data Interfaces, and other cataloged assets. The Data Catalog displays trust scores, lineage, and governance metadata, enabling consumers to request access and confirm data usability before building on it. |
| Data assets | A cataloged data object in the Data Catalog, such as a table, column, view, dashboard, report, database, or schema. Data assets are discovered through metadata collectors and enriched with business context, lineage, classifications, and governance metadata. Assets can be searched, browsed, filtered, and explored by consumers to understand their structure, purpose, and relationships before requesting access. |
