Set up Outside Counsels for Legal Invention Disclosure
Create Outside Counsel records to enable outside counsels to work on a Legal Invention Disclosure request.
Before you begin
An Outside Firm record must be active. For more information, see Set up Outside Firms for Legal Invention Disclosure.
Role required: sn_lg_matter.matter_config, sn_lg_matter.matter_fulfiller
About this task
Setting up an outside counsel can be done either as a fulfiller task or when configuring Legal Invention Disclosure after installation.
Procedure
- Access the form to create an Outside Counsel record.

Select New.
On the form, fill in the fields.
Field Description Outside Firm Name of the parent firm for the outside counsel from the lookup which were already added. Outside Counsel Name Name of the outside counsel. Outside Counsel Email Email address of the outside counsel. Active Option to make the Outside Counsel record active. Save the Outside Counsel record.
- On the Outside Counsels New record form, select Submit.
- On the Create New Outside Counsel from the Legal Counsel Center, select Save.
