Import outdoor elements

Import outdoor elements that you want to display on the indoor map. This can be a graphic element such as a logo or a an outdoor parking lot with parking spaces that needs to be created as Places.

Before you begin

Role required: map admin, map editor, map editor limited

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Indoor Mapping > Map Studio.

  2. Select a campus to add to your outdoor layer.

  3. Navigate to Manage Workplace > Floor & Floorplans.

  4. Add a new source and select the file you would like to import.

  1. Click Continue.

  2. Configure the raster source file.

  3. Edit the georeference.

  4. Select the layer type.

  5. Click Start Import.

  6. Create a place on your campus by selecting New point or New polygon.

    For more information about creating a polygon and point, see Manage places.

  7. Make sure that you select the floor on a campus.

  8. Start creating directions.
