Associate an asset with a safety incident

Associate an enterprise asset with a safety incident.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_ohs_im.manager, sn_ohs_im.agent, or sn_ohs_im.operations_manager

About this task

Add all the assets that are involved in an incident.

Note: The assets can be associated only when the Expanded Model and Asset Classes [sn_ent] application is installed. For more information, see Additional features in Health and Safety

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Health and Safety > Health and Safety Workspace.

  2. Click the incident management icon (

Incident Management icon.\) and navigate to the **Lists** tab.

  1. In the Safety Incidents list, open a safety incident assigned to you to which you want to associate the asset.

  2. Select the Report an incident tab.

    The incident playbook opens.

  3. Navigate to the Add assets stage and then Add assets involved activity.

  4. In the Add asset involved section, fill in the fields.

    1. In the Asset field, select the asset that was involved.

      The fields related to the selected asset are auto-populated from the asset record.

    2. In the Asset involvement field, enter the type of its involvement.

  5. Click Save.

  6. If required, add more assets that are involved in this incident.

Result

The selected asset is listed in the Assets involved section of the activity. It also appears in the Assets involved section in the Incident Overview tab.

What to do next

Add a root cause analysis to perform root cause analysis for this incident.
