Setting up Health and Safety Core

You can set up your implementation for the Health and Safety Core data model by installing the data model and reviewing and configuring the components that are installed with the data model.

• Install Health and Safety Core
  You can install the Health and Safety Core (sn_ohs_im) if you have an admin role. This data model includes demo data and installs related ServiceNow® Store plugins if they are not already installed.
• Workplace location data
  In the Workplace Core application, set up data related to your workplace locations so you can select a location in your safety records, for example, your safety incidents and observations.
• Enable a Health and Safety table for configuring report field mapping
  Enable a Health and Safety table for report field mapping. You can then configure its mapping with your reporting PDF template, enabling safety agents to generate reports for records in this table.
• Create a safety report field mapping for generating reports
  Create a safety report field mapping to map fields in your reporting PDF template to the corresponding fields in the Health and Safety records.
• Configure groups for Health and Safety
  Configure user groups for Health and Safety for assignment of safety records. You can assign roles to groups to provide access to all group members or assign roles to individual users.
• Configure scheduled job to generate frequency rates
  Configure the scheduled job to load the safety frequency rates and ensure that the safety metrics on the Health and Safety Workspace landing page are up to date.
• Assign Health and Safety profile to a user
  Assign the Health and Safety profile to all users in your organization, including employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Add a Health and Safety visitor
  Create a record for a Health and Safety visitor so that they can be easily referenced in the Visitor field on related records.
• Migrate existing safety documents to the Document library
  Migrate your existing safety documents from the deprecated Standards and Documents list to the new Health and Safety document library list.
