Browser Extension for Employee Center

Access all your extension-supported, Employee Center content, and other resources within a movable, pop-up browser extension.

Browser Extension for Employee Center displays the configured Employee Center content on the extension.

Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to use the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

You can access the Browser Extension for Employee Center with the extension icon from the Employee Center portal. You can also open the extension in a new page with the Floating Action Button (FAB) when you're navigating a browser-supported website.

Read a Knowledge Base article, search through your quick links, or submit a Service Catalog item request, all from the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

The following are the types of content configurable on the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

  • Employee Communications - View announcements and banners from your portal.
  • Quick links - View featured content and access knowledge base articles; see the most-viewed AI-search results for your portal.

    Note:

    • You must have Now Assist Pro+ version along with Employee Center version 38.0 installed to experience the Now Assist full page search within the browser extension.
    • Browser Extension for Employee Center is for enterprise usage. Enterprise admins can enable the extension for different user groups too.
    • News - Read portal news in the quick view of the extension.
    • Events - View upcoming events in the extension.
    • Related applications - Access your applications in the Related apps section.
    • Experience feedback - Provide your portal or extension experience feedback on the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

You can customize the theme and styling of your Browser Extension for Employee Center according to your organizational requirement. You can navigate back to the Employee Center portal easily with a link on the extension.

The following roles can operate at different access levels within the Browser Extension for Employee Center application.

You can also conduct a context search by selecting a portion of the website content where the extension is enabled. It gives you the search results for the selected section both within the Browser Extension and in the Employee Center portal.

Additionally, you can receive your Employee Center notifications on your Mac or Windows system, as long as you have the Browser Extension open in any one of your tabs. You can configure aspects like the number of options displayed within a widget, the number of search results displayed, and so on.
