Modify defer load instance option

Deferred loading helps delay the loading of a resource or widget to improve the overall usability of the page.

Before you begin

Ensure you understand the deferred load behavior. For more information, see Create and edit a page using the Service Portal Designer and Configure widget loading order in Service Portal.

Role required: admin.

About this task

The deferred load is available for the following widgets.

  • Content Experience
  • Quick Links
  • News Feed
  • Popular Topics
  • Relevant for you
  • App Launcher
  • My active Items

Procedure

  1. Follow one of the steps:

    1. Navigate to All > Service Portal > Service Portal Configuration > Widget Editor.

    2. On the Employee Center home page, press and hold the control key, right-click the widget, and select Page in Designer.

    The following page appears.

  1. Click the Defer load icon.

  2. Fill in the following fields as explained in Configure widget loading order in Service Portal.

  1. Click Save.

Result

Defer loading of the widget is enabled.
