Add and configure the Portal Browse Taxonomy widget
Add the Portal Browse Taxonomy widget to your portal and modify its behavior. The widget displays taxonomy topics along with the articles and catalog items related to them.
Before you begin
The UI Components for Customer Portals plugin must have been activated. For more information, see Activate the UI Components for Customer Portals plugin.
You must have the following setup in order to add, update, and use this widget:
- The page to which you want to add the widget. For more information, see Create a page for Configurable Portal widgets
- A taxonomy to map your content. For more information, see Create taxonomy.
- At least one taxonomy associated with your portal. For more information, see Add a taxonomy to your portal.
- At least one topic associated with the taxonomy. For more information, see Create and associate topics.
- Topics associated with knowledge categories and catalog categories. For more information, see Associate content categories to topics and Associate content from catalog categories to a topic.
Role required: sp_admin
Procedure
Navigate to the All > Service Portal > Service Portal Configuration.
Select Designer.
On the Service Portal Designer page, search for and select the page to which you want to add the widget.
Select the Widgets tab.
In the Layouts section, drag the Container layout onto the portal edit page.
On the Widgets pane, in the Filter Widget field, enter
Portal Browse Taxonomy.Drag the Portal Browse Taxonomy widget onto the container layout.
In the Edit page, select a Portal Browse Taxonomy widget.
Select the Pencil icon (
Pencil icon\).
On the Instance form, fill in the fields.
