Retire or archive a published TRM catalog

Use the Knowledge Base management controls to retire or archive the content generated from a published Technology Reference Model (TRM) catalog.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_apm.apm_admin and knowledge_admin

The Publishing Center controls how TRM data is published to the Knowledge Base, but it does not manage the lifecycle state of the published Knowledge Base content.

When a TRM catalog is published, it is generated as Knowledge Base articles, and the lifecycle of those articles (active, retired, or archived) is managed through Knowledge Management, not through the Publishing Center.

Retiring or archiving Knowledge Base content does not delete or disable the publishing configuration.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Knowledge > Articles.

  2. Locate the Knowledge Base articles generated from the published TRM catalog.

  3. Select the articles or categories that you want to retire or archive.

  4. Use the standard Knowledge Base workflow actions to retire or archive the selected content, according to your organization’s Knowledge Management process.

  5. Save your changes.

Result

The selected Knowledge Base articles are retired or archived and are no longer visible to users.

The publishing configuration remains available in the Publishing Center for future reuse or republishing.
