Configuring app generation

To build applications with app generation, install Now Assist for Creator and enable the app generation skill in the Now Assist Admin console.

Starting with the Australia release, app generation is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances but will continue to be supported. Build Agent provides the latest experience for this functionality. For more information, see Build Agent.

Before you can generate applications, install Now Assist for Creator on your instance and enable the app generation skill in the Now Assist Admin console. This gives app generation the permissions and AI capabilities it needs to build applications for you. You also need to set app generation as your preference for creating AI-assisted applications in the ServiceNow Studio user preferences menu.

  Install the Now Assist for Creator application so that you can get started with creating an application for your organization.
• Use the app generation skill to generate apps
  By default, ServiceNow Studio uses Build Agent to create apps with AI. To use the app generation skill instead, disable the Build Agent setting in your ServiceNow Studio preferences.
