Customize your form layout in Table Builder
Visually design the look of the forms your users see by customizing form views in Table Builder.
Before you begin
- Launch Table Builder. For more information, see Accessing Table Builder.
- (Optional) Choose a domain to work within (if not global). For more information, see Domain separation and Table Builder.
- (Optional) Choose an application scope to work within (if not global). For more information, see Using an application scope with Table Builder.

Role required: personalize_form or AES user role and delegated developer permissions. For more information, see Delegate developers using AES.
Procedure
Navigate to the Forms tab in Table Builder.
Choose a view to work with.

Customize the form layout that displays in the form editor by performing the following actions.

| Configure section layout (columns) | Change the layout of your section. Sections can consist of one column or be split into two columns. 1. Select a section in the form editor. 2. Change the column layout via one of the following methods: - From the Section panel, select One-column or Two-column. - From the section header menu, select One-column or Two-column. |
| Merge section with the section above | Merge two sections. Merging a section refers to combining two sections together with a single section title. A merge is useful when you want to have a single section with two different column layouts.1. In the form editor, select a section. 2. Merge the selected section with the section above via one of the following methods: - In the section header, select the Additional actions (\|) menu, and then select Merge with section above. - From the section panel, select Merge with section above. |
| Detach section | Detach a section. You can split two previously merged sections apart into separate elements again. 1. In the form editor, select a previously merged section. 2. Detach the selected section via one of the following methods: - In the section header, select the Additional actions (\|) menu, and then select Detach from section above. - From the section panel, select Detach from section above. |

To rearrange the sections within the form, in the section header, select the section and then drag it to the desired location on the form or use the up and down arrow icons.
Select Save.
