Service desks and Creator Studio

Service desk apps enable users to request things, such as IT equipment or travel bookings, and track their fulfillment.

Service desk apps are usually accessed through a portal, such as Employee Center, or a service catalog.

Parts of a service desk app

Service desk apps contain the following parts:

  • Forms that collect information from the user about the request
  • Automated playbooks, such as routing approval when a request is made or sending automatic email notifications
  • List configurations for a workspace where fulfillers can work on requests, where they can do the following:
    • Communicate with the requester and store messages in the record, which is accessed in the workspace
    • Save attachments related to the request
    • Share notes with other employees in different departments when fulfilling a request
    • See automation results
